Job summary

A healthcare institution in Singapore is seeking a dedicated support staff member to provide companionship and basic care services to residents. The role involves assisting with personal hygiene and daily activities while ensuring a comfortable environment for the residents. Candidates should have relevant qualifications and be able to work in a team, including rotating shifts. Experience in eldercare is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Must have a certificate or training in Healthcare support.
  • Preferably possess experience in household management or eldercare.
  • Computer literate and proficient in MS Office.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide companionship by actively listening to the residents’ wishes and concerns, and ensuring that measures are taken to keep them comfortable
  • Facilitate and support all aspects of the residents’ daily lives, taking into consideration individual preferences. Part of a self-managed team, he/she is responsible for creating an environment that enhances residents’ quality of life
  • Provide basic care and services to residents in basic activities of daily living, including assistance with personal hygiene, toileting, diaper changing and showering
  • Monitor health status and vital signs
  • Perform tube feeding / Nasogastric tube (NGT) feeding for residents
  • Assist to apply prescribed topical medication
  • Perform and monitor individualised therapy intervention
  • Any other duties assigned by supervisor
Job Requirements
  • Certificate/training in Healthcare support & ITE Home Care program
  • Preferably possess experience in household management and/or eldercare
  • Able to perform 3 rotating shifts hours and work on weekends/public holidays
  • Able to work well in team environment
  • Computer literate and proficient in MS office
