Minimum qualifications:Google’s technical infrastructure is the essential foundation powering all our products and AI capabilities across Alphabet. Our team promotes and defends Google’s technical infrastructure, which includes the community and energy programs that make our infrastructure possible. As part of the Google Cloud Communications team in Global Communications and Public Affairs (GCPA), it’s our job to help inform and educate customers, partners, opinion leaders, and our own employees about the benefits of our products, our company culture and values, and our approach to the big public policy issues of the day.
In this role, you will work cross-functionally to help shape our communications strategy for Google’s global infrastructure in the communities. You will educate the market on the unique workforce and community development programs that make Google’s physical infrastructure possible around the world, driving stories about local impact at the local, regional, and global levels. Additionally, you’ll maintain strong relationships with journalists and influencers, develop written materials and campaigns, and create new programs and counter misinformation that interferes with our business and serve our customers and users. You will be collaborating with executives across the organization, bringing a deep understanding of the technologies and policies impacting the industry today.
We help inform and educate users, advertisers, partners, opinion leaders—and our own employees—about the benefits of Google's products, our distinctive company culture/values and our approach to the big public policy issues of the day. You are quick-witted, entrepreneurial and intellectually curious. To succeed in this role, you are willing to try new things and can manage numerous projects with tight deadlines. Things happen quickly at Google, and to do great work, you need to be an enthusiastic team player who can work cross-functionally with partners across PR, Communications, Marketing, Product, and beyond.
