Job description
Overview

We are seeking a highly specialized Commissioning Engineer with an exceptional track record in Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) for Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) units. This position requires not only strong engineering fundamentals but also deep, hands‑on expertise across a wide spectrum of advanced automation platforms, redundancy systems, and software integration.

Technical Expertise (Mandatory)
  1. Advanced proficiency in multiple iterations of PlantPAx with demonstrable application of the Rockwell Automation PlantPAX Selection Guide in large-scale offshore projects.
  2. Extensive, verifiable hands‑on experience in:
    • Developing custom libraries, reusable HMI templates, and display objects.
    • Alarm Management: configuration of Alarm Groups, AlarmLogViewer, and full Alarm System implementation to meet ISA 18.2 / IEC 62682 standards.
    • Batch automation concepts and execution design in offshore environments.
  3. Strong knowledge of redundant Allen Bradley controller systems and EtherNet/IP high‑availability networks, including complex redundancy switchover scenarios.

Additional Requirements
  • 2 full‑cycle FPSO or FPSO packages control system commissioning projects from pre‑commissioning through to offshore handover.
  • Ability to diagnose, configure, and recover redundant systems in high‑pressure operational environments.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity standards for Industrial Automation and Control Systems (IACS) such as ISA/IEC 62443.
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder coordination, including client interfacing, vendor management, and reporting.
  • Willingness to work in offshore rotation schedules.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering strongly preferred). A Master’s Degree or higher in Automation/Control Systems Engineering will be considered an advantage.
  • Experience: Minimum 7–10 years of relevant, hands‑on commissioning experience in FPSO or offshore oil & gas environments, with at least 5 years directly working on ICSS commissioning.
  • Proven ability to lead, troubleshoot, and optimize mission‑critical control and safety systems under offshore constraints.
