Job summary

ASEANet Manpower Consulting is assisting a client seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for field commissioning of power generation systems. You will perform installation, testing and startup of generators and marine propulsion engines at vessel, offshore and land-based sites.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with 6+ years in power generation or oil & gas, and can read mechanical/electrical drawings.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in power generation, marine, industrial or oil & gas industries.
• Experience with Caterpillar engines is an advantage.
• Knowledge of generator control, synchronisation and parallel operation.
• Able to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform application, installation, and commissioning inspections at customer sites.
• Coordinate with customers and project engineers on commissioning activities.
• Commission and start up generators, pump sets and marine propulsion engines for vessel, offshore and land-based applications.
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting of generator systems and related equipment.
• Support workshop mechanical/electrical works and equipment rental operations when required.
