Job summary

INITIA GROUP is seeking motivateing Commis / Kitchen Assistants to join our kitchen team in Singapore. You will support chefs, prep ingredients, and help keep areas clean and compliant with safety standards.

We value teamwork, adaptability, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior kitchen experience and hygiene certification are preferred, with opportunities to advance and cross-train at overseas outlets.

Qualifications

• Help handle food orders and support special service requests during peak hours to ensure smooth operations.

Job Specifications:

• At least 1 year of experience in a kitchen or food-related role.


• Hygiene course certification or equivalent.


• Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.


• Versatile and adaptable to changing tasks.


• Experience with cold dish preparation or ingredient handling is a plus.

• Assist kitchen staff with food preparation, including washing vegetables, chopping, and seasoning ingredients before service.


• Ensure proper storage of food items at appropriate temperatures to maintain food safety.


• Operate kitchen appliances (e.g., blenders, ovens, grills) safely and efficiently.


• Maintain cleanliness of food preparation areas and sanitize utensils at the end of each shift.


• Support the team by handling multiple food orders simultaneously and assisting with special arrangements or reservations as needed.
