Job description
Commercial Manager (Contracts Management)

Oversee all contract management and commercial activities in alignment with company policies and industry best practices.

Safeguard the organization’s contractual and commercial interests, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated effectively.

Review, draft, and negotiate contractual documents to ensure favorable terms and adequate protection of company rights.

Manage and monitor contractual obligations, including claims, variations, and extensions of time, to optimize commercial outcomes.

Provide strategic guidance on contract-related matters to management and project teams.

Provide contractual oversight for procurement and subcontracting activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and contractual requirements.

Supervise post-contract activities, including payment processing, claims administration, and settlement of final accounts.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure contract terms align with operational, legal, and risk management objectives.

Track and report on project risks, opportunities, and financial performance to support profit margin improvement.

Promote a culture of accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement across all contract-related functions.

Perform any other relevant duties or projects as assigned by management.

Requirements

Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Law, or a related discipline.

10–15 years of relevant experience in the engineering, infrastructure, or construction sectors.

Proven ability to manage contract administration, commercial negotiations, and risk management processes.

Strong understanding of contractual law claims management, and project financial controls.

Demonstrated leadership and team management experience with a collaborative approach.

High level of integrity, discipline, and accountability in handling sensitive commercial matters.

Detail‑oriented, solutions‑driven, and able to work independently under pressure.
