Job Description & Requirements

Reporting to the GTR Finance Director, this role partners with commercial and functional stakeholders to drive business decision-making through strong financial planning, analysis, and performance management. The position supports the translation of commercial strategies into effective financial plans, identifying opportunities to improve profitability and cost efficiency.

Lead in all Financial matters for Asia, supporting the delivery of strategic objectives and financial targets agreed with GTR HQ, in line with JTI policies, operating guidelines, and statutory requirements. Provide timely financial insights, performance tracking, and decision support across key commercial initiatives.

Lead and develop the ATR Commercial Finance team by providing clear direction, coaching, and development opportunities, fostering a high-performance culture and strong business partnering.

As Commercial Finance Lead ATR Singapore, you will be responsible for the following:

  • ATR Commercial Finance Leadership: Partner with the Finance Director ATR and Asia TR finance peers to lead commercial finance activities for ATR, supporting delivery of strategic and financial objectives. Ensure strong financial fundamentals through disciplined, efficient, and well-controlled processes across markets. Safeguard assets and support commercial decision with solid financial insight.
  • Strategic Financial Performance Management: Lead financial planning and performance management processes (Outlook, LE, ASP, and Annual Market Plans) across Asia TR, consolidating Sales and Marketing inputs. Act as a commercial challenger to P&L assumptions, reflecting market dynamics. Monitor performance versus targets (Volume / OCC), identifying risks and opportunities to support business actions.
  • Governance, Controls & Risk: Support effective corporate governance across Asia TR operations. Ensure compliance with JTI policies, Operating Guidelines, J-SOX controls, and relevant compliance programs (e.g. KYC, AML, LMD). Support control of operations, assets, investments, and financial risk.
  • Commercial Finance Advisory: Provide finance insight and guidance in key commercial projects and initiatives, including pricing, investment, route-to-market establishment, business development initiatives. Drive business change by identifying opportunities for operations efficiency & cost reduction, systems implementation as necessary.
  • Lead ATR Finance Team: Lead and develop the ATR Commercial Finance team, fostering accountability, capability, and strong business partnering. To act as a role model and represent the company professionally at all times to the business community and customers. Manage ad-hoc performance related requirements (i.e. HQ, EXCOM, BD), such as projects to support the broader business, i.e. system cutovers, inventory loading and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics or Business Administration. Financial qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, etc.) is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years of FP&A experience in a multinational company (FMCG would serve as an advantage), out of which at least 1 year in a leadership role.
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong Knowledge in SAP systems and MS Office applications.
