Overview

Commercial Director

Location: Singapore

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Commercial Director to lead business growth, client engagement, and commercial operations across the Asia region. Based in Singapore, this position plays a key leadership role in developing client partnerships, executing commercial strategies, and supporting regional expansion.

The successful candidate will have strong business acumen, regional experience, and a proven track record in managing commercial and client relationship functions. Proficiency in Korean is required to liaise effectively with Korean-speaking business partners and clients as part of the company’s regional operations.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Commercial Leadership

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Analyze business performance, financial data, and market trends to support strategic decision-making.
  • Identify and evaluate partnership opportunities to expand the company’s market presence.
  • Collaborate with senior management on pricing models, forecasts, and business goals.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key corporate clients and partners.
  • Serve as the main liaison for clients, ensuring high service quality and satisfaction.
  • Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions that support business growth and retention.
  • Manage contract negotiations, renewals, and new opportunity pipelines.

Regional Market Development

  • Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities and emerging trends.
  • Provide insights to management to guide business expansion strategies.
  • Support localization of strategies and service models across regional markets.
  • Represent the company in business meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Business travel is required to support regional client relationships and project delivery.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve commercial and operational goals.
  • Oversee project planning, budgeting, and execution to ensure timely delivery and alignment with objectives.
  • Foster collaboration between departments to enhance efficiency and accountability.

People Development & Team Management

  • Mentor and develop team members to strengthen commercial and leadership capabilities.
  • Promote a performance-driven, client-focused culture.
  • Ensure the team operates effectively and aligns with company priorities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economic, Marketing, International Relations, or related discipline.
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in commercial operations, business development, or account management.
  • Proven success in managing client portfolios and driving revenue growth.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in Korean and English (written and spoken) to liaise with Korean-speaking clients and partners.
  • Strong analytical and leadership skills, with a proactive and strategic mindset.
  • Business travel across Asia is required to support client engagements and regional projects.
