A leading travel services provider in Singapore is seeking a candidate to assist in developing commercial strategies for APAC. The role requires 3-5 years of experience, a bachelor's degree, and strong analytical skills. The successful candidate will work on contracting partnerships, analyze sales data, and ensure financial performance meets targets. Good English communication skills are essential.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Commercial Development
Strategize: Assist in developing the commercial strategy for APAC, emphasizing revenue growth, market expansion, and improving the company's competitive position.
Alignment: Review and contribute to the implementation of product and process contracting for APAC destinations. Ensure consistency and efficient management of the hotels' portfolio.
Collaboration: Work closely with business units and regional offices to contribute to the formulation and execution of strategies and action plans, aligning efforts with overall company objectives.
Representation: Support in representing APAC destinations during business reviews and contribute to negotiations of commercial terms with chain hotels.
Performance Review: Collaborate on data analysis for campaigns and initiatives, providing input for strategic recommendations to drive continuous improvement in upcoming phases.
Contracting
Contracting & Partnership: Contribute to establishing robust partnerships with hotels and accommodation providers across a diverse portfolio.
Data Analysis: Assist in driving sales performance through effective leadership and motivation of the sales team. Contribute to monitoring and analyzing sales data, identifying trends, and providing input for strategies to achieve sales targets.
Budget Management: Assist in taking ownership of the region's financial performance. Contribute to the development and management of budgets, closely monitoring expenses and revenue to ensure financial targets are met.
Market Analysis: Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments. Provide input for informed business decisions to maintain a competitive edge. This role may involve supporting research on emerging markets, overseeing office openings, and collaborating with HR for recruiting or relocating key team members.
Qualifications & Knowledge:
Bachelor’s degree in any field of studies. Preference will be given for studies in the fields of Business Administration or Hospitality and tourism.
Candidate must be independent and mature and have a positive working attitude with a strong sense of responsibility.
Experience, Skills and Behavioral Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in a similar position will be preferred.
Candidate must have an aggressive go-getting attitude and have a passion for securing the best deal with suppliers.
The candidate should have a sunny personality and enjoy working with people. The candidate needs to enjoy interaction with our suppliers as well as be able to network within the organization to leverage on our global network to strengthen our market proposition in Singapore.
Must also possess an analytical mindset and the ability to review supplier performance to optimizes performance.
Candidate must have a customer focus and drive to resolve any issues that may be a barrier to sales.
Good written and spoken English and presentation skills.
