The Commercial Analytics Associate is a new and highly impactful role within our dynamic and rapidly expanding Commercial team, based in our Singapore office. Role summary

The Commercial Analytics Associate will work closely with the Head of Commercial Analytics and the wider Commercial team to drive key strategic initiatives. The role involves developing and implementing analytical models that inform major business decisions and projects, providing hands‑on exposure to the fast‑paced world of international shipping and maritime investments.

The Commercial Analytics Associate will play a critical role in supporting and enhancing the Commercial team’s strategic efforts by:

  • Preparing financial models and conducting in‑depth analysis to evaluate high‑stakes transactions, including:
    • Vessel sales and purchases.
    • Equity raises.
    • Profit‑sharing agreements.
    • Vessel financing and refinancing.
    • Investment in new maritime technologies.
  • Managing and coordinating a range of commercial projects to ensure timely and efficient execution.
  • Reviewing and negotiating term sheets related to commercial, investment and financing projects, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Preparing presentations for both corporate and project‑related initiatives, tailored to different internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintaining comprehensive records for market research and business intelligence purposes, ensuring access to up‑to‑date data for decision‑making.
  • Facilitating communication between departments to ensure smooth project flow and alignment across teams.
  • Managing and mentoring Junior Commercial Analytics Associates, supporting their growth and development within the team.
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering or a related field.
  • Exceptional MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills, with the ability to analyse data and create clear, impactful presentations.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all analytical work.
  • A can‑do, solution‑oriented attitude, with a passion for tackling challenges and driving results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to a range of stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong work ethic and respect for confidentiality, recognising the sensitive nature of the projects handled.
