Job summary

Applied Materials South East Asia is offering a full-time internship for undergraduates in engineering or SCM to dive into supply chain analytics and digital transformation projects in a manufacturing environment.

You will drive data analytics initiatives, support materials planning, and collaborate with Manufacturing, Procurement and Planning teams to learn end-to-end processes and deliver actionable insights for cost savings and resilience.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student in Engineering, SCM, Data Analytics, or related fields.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Interest in supply chain operations and digital transformation.
• Basic knowledge of Python, Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Traineeship Project Description

Drive digital transformation initiatives within the sourcing and materials management function by leveraging data analytics to optimize sourcing strategies, enhance supply continuity, and identify cost‑saving opportunities across the supplier base.

• Increased dual/multi-source coverage for critical materials.
• Improved supplier allocation strategy and supply resilience.
• Verified FAI compliance for new sourcing opportunities.
