Job summary

HR Focus in Singapore seeks a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep of cold rooms, refrigeration systems, production equipment and building facilities at our Jurong site.

The role requires 2–3 years of hands-on maintenance experience in relevant environments, with strong mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting skills. Candidates with cold-room repair experience are particularly encouraged to apply. Work involves a 5.5-day week in a fixed-site, non-call environment.

Qualifications

• NITEC or higher in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, building services, facilities management or related technical field.
• 2-3 years of hands-on maintenance experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, warehouse, cold-room or industrial environments.
• Hands-on cold-room / commercial refrigeration repair experience is a strong advantage.
• Able to work in chilled, wet and food-processing environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and facilities.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on cold rooms, chillers, freezers and refrigeration systems.
• Monitor temperature, blowers, icing, drainage and general system performance.
• Maintain and troubleshoot conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, belts, sensors and pneumatic components.
• Diagnose basic electrical and mechanical faults and perform hands-on repairs where possible.
• Attend to equipment breakdowns and minimise production downtime.
• Carry out minor building maintenance involving lighting, electrical fittings, plumbing, doors, ventilation and air-conditioning.
• Coordinate external contractors for specialised refrigeration, electrical or mechanical repairs.
• Maintain preventive maintenance, breakdown and service records.
