A leading cocoa sourcing company based in Singapore is seeking a highly skilled professional to lead the sourcing and planning of cocoa beans across APAC factories. This role focuses on building strong supplier partnerships and requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain and commercial roles. Candidates should possess strong data analytics skills and be fluent in English, with additional language skills preferred. The role may involve up to 20% travel.
Sourcing:
You will be part of the team responsible for sourcing and pricing approximately 150,000 MT of cocoa beans annually (equivalent to over USD 1 billion in spend) across two factories in APAC. This role involves close collaboration with origin sourcing and market research teams to develop and execute strategies that optimise regional profitability.
A key focus will be building and maintaining strategic, long‑term supplier partnerships to ensure continuity of supply. Deep knowledge of origin markets—particularly Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, where BC engages directly with local suppliers—is essential to uphold quality standards and minimise weight losses, both of which directly impact commercial performance and sustainability goals.
You will also have the opportunity to participate in cocoa derivatives trading, including managing order flows and executing trading strategies on the ICE Futures Exchange.
Planning:
You will lead cocoa bean planning across the two APAC factories, working closely with supply chain and production teams to understand operational constraints and ensure timely availability of raw materials to meet customer demand.
In partnership with the Sourcing Director, you will oversee cocoa bean inventory levels and provide critical cost inputs to stakeholders including the Combined Ratio team, Finance Business Partner, and Global Planning (CSD).
You will be responsible for all bean sourcing reporting and active BI dashboards, continuously improving end‑to‑end visibility, generating actionable insights, and driving commercial decisions.
