The Cloud Specialist is responsible for developing, proposing, and implementing secure and modern cloud infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for various clients.

  1. Develop and provide cloud computing services (Platform-as-a-Service or Infrastructure-as-a-Service) suggestions/proposals for SME, Enterprise, and various industry verticals.
  2. Evaluate the requirements, determine actionable tasks and estimates, and provide efforts for business solution build and architecture.
  3. Design and implement robust security protocols within GCP infrastructure, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), network security (VPC, firewalls), and data encryption (at rest and in transit).
  4. Ensure security compliance and governance by leveraging GCP tools like Security Command Center (SCC) and aligning with security blueprints/best practices (e.g., least privilege access, organizational design).
  5. Responsible for technical documentation on solution implementation, including security design documents and compliance reports.
  6. Perform operational readiness tasks and ensure production acceptance criteria are met, with an emphasis on secure operations and continuous monitoring.
  7. Respond to platform technical issues, including security-related incidents and anomalies, in a professional and timely manner.
  8. Work closely with the sales team for cloud-related sales opportunities, ensuring a security-first approach is integrated into all proposals.
  9. Support Pre-Sales activities, i.e., proposal, systems design, proof-of-concept, demo, workshop conduct, including the presentation of the cloud security architecture and compliance.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  2. 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in computing infrastructure.
  3. Experience in one or more of the following: cloud migration, data-centre migration, backup & disaster recovery, networking, virtualization, application/server assessment and discovery.
  4. Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, especially those related to compute, storage, networking, and security (e.g., Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, Cloud Armor, Security Command Center).
  5. Demonstrated experience with cloud security best practices such as the principle of least privilege and setting up centralized logging and monitoring.
  6. Strong logical/analytical troubleshooting skills, particularly in identifying and remediating security vulnerabilities.
  7. Experience in crafting data centre migration plans (rehost / replatform / refactor etc.) for businesses, with a focus on integrating security controls and compliance checks at each stage, is a plus.
  8. Experience deploying and operating multi/hybrid-cloud platforms, such as Kubernetes, Anthos, etc., with a focus on container security, is a plus.
  9. Experience deploying and operating CI / CD infrastructure and workflows, including the implementation of DevSecOps practices (e.g., security scanning in the pipeline), is a plus.
