Job summary

Nicoll Curtin is seeking a Manager, Technology Evaluation & Cloud Security in Singapore to evaluate innovative digital products, assess security risks, and advise on secure, scalable architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

The role covers cloud architecture, cybersecurity, technical assurance, emerging technologies, and senior stakeholder engagement with founders and CTOs. You will help develop guardrails and IaC automation for enterprise readiness.

Qualifications

• Degree preferred in CS, Engineering, or cybersecurity.
• At least five years in cloud architecture or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience reviewing modern cloud architectures for security and scalability.
• Experience with security assessments or product evaluations.
• Familiarity with Terraform and IaC practices.

• Conduct detailed technical evaluations and risk assessments of innovative technology products.
• Assess architecture maturity, capabilities, and market readiness.
• Develop risk-based test plans covering security, scalability, and reliability.
• Review architecture, code scans, and pentest findings.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed technical evaluations and risk assessments of innovative technology products.


• Assess product capabilities, technical differentiators, architecture maturity, and market readiness.


• Develop risk-based test plans covering functionality, performance, security, scalability, reliability, maintainability, and usability.


• Review application architecture, source-code scan results, penetration-testing findings, and technical documentation.


• Provide architectural guidance on secure and scalable cloud deployments across AWS, Azure, and GCP.


• Identify security, infrastructure, and architectural gaps and recommend practical remediation strategies.


• Support the onboarding and deployment of technology products within secure cloud sandbox environments.


• Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, networking, security, performance, and deployment issues.


• Develop reusable architecture patterns, security guardrails, and Infrastructure-as-Code automation using tools such as Terraform.


• Monitor cloud security posture, platform health, utilisation, compliance, and expenditure.


• Evaluate emerging technologies across enterprise software, AI, GenAI, agentic systems, cybersecurity, cloud, and IoT.


• Present technical findings clearly to founders, CTOs, engineering teams, enterprise buyers, and senior business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline is preferred.


• At least five years of relevant experience in cloud architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, solution architecture, technical consulting, or a related domain.


• Strong knowledge of at least one major cloud platform, with broader exposure to AWS, Azure, and GCP.


• Experience reviewing modern application and cloud architectures for security, scalability, performance, and reliability.


• Proven experience conducting technical risk assessments, security assessments, or product evaluations.


• Knowledge of cloud security controls, enterprise security frameworks, and secure deployment practices.


• Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform.


• Familiarity with Kubernetes, containers, microservices, APIs, and cloud-native architectures would be advantageous.


• Understanding of penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, source-code scanning, or application security review.


• Experience supporting proof-of-concepts, product onboarding, or enterprise cloud deployments.


• Exposure to Singapore public-sector security standards or regulated technology environments would be advantageous.


• Relevant cloud, security, or infrastructure certifications would be beneficial, including AWS, Azure, GCP, CISSP, CCSP, CKA, or CKS.
