Job summary

Qualifications

• Deep expertise across cloud infrastructure, messaging systems, and modern development practices.
• Diploma or Degree in Computer Engineering with Azure cloud, IT security and networking experience is preferred.
• Certifications in Azure or AWS Administrator Associate and Red Hat CSA are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Platform maintenance and security, including dependency updates and vulnerability remediation.
• Configure cloud infrastructure security and access controls.

Cloud Platform Engineer

Position Overview

Mid to Lead level Cloud Platform Engineer specializing in cloud software applications development. Responsible for maintaining secure cloud platforms, ensuring standards compliance, developing new data services capabilities, and documenting system architecture.

Responsibilities

• Platform Maintenance & Security: Regular dependency updates and security vulnerability remediation
• Cloud infrastructure security configurations and access controls
• System health monitoring and performance optimization
• Standards Compliance: Implement WMO global data-sharing framework (WIS 2.0) and data-sharing framework in aviation (SWIM) specification changes
• Ensure data services and pipeline conformance to established standards
• Feature Development: Develop new data services capabilities and integrate additional data sources
• Optimize platform performance and scalability for growing infrastructure demands
• Documentation: Maintain system architecture documentation, API references, and operational runbooks
• Document change logs for all system modifications

Requirements

• Candidate should possess deep expertise across cloud infrastructure, messaging systems, and modern development practices.
• Diploma or Degree in Computer Engineering, preferably with at least 1-2 years of Azure cloud, IT Security, IT networking experience and Red Hat OS.
• Candidates should demonstrate practical experience with these technologies and a proven ability to design and implement scalable cloud-based solutions for data exchange and messaging platforms with following technical competencies:
• • Core AWS Services: Lambda, API Gateway, Transfer Family, VPC endpoints
  • Messaging & Integration: Pub/Sub messaging systems, MQTT/AMQP protocols, Solace PubSub+ preferred, API development and integration expertise
  • Programming & Infrastructure: Java, Python, NodeJS, Terraform for infrastructure as code
  • Data Formats & Containerization: JSON/XML data formats, Docker containerization, Kubernetes orchestration
  • Architecture & DevOps: Event-driven architecture design, cloud monitoring tools, CI/CD pipeline implementation and management
  • Standards & Security: OpenAPI specifications, YAML configuration, vulnerability remediation using AWS Inspector and related tools
• Relevant IT certification in Azure or AWS Administrator Associate, Red Hat Certified System Administrator and virtualised environment setup.
• Strong interest in learning Platform as a Service (PaaS), technologies and products
• Good interpersonal communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Good technical writing and presentation skills
