Job summary

National University of Singapore IT (NUS IT) seeks an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer to build and operate shared cloud services on Azure, with a focus on Kubernetes, reliability, security, and scalable platforms.

You will drive CI/CD pipelines, IaC, AI-enabled engineering initiatives, and platform adoption across application teams, turning platform as a product with strong governance, documentation, and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred; demonstrable experience accepted in lieu of formal qualifications.
• Cloud, Kubernetes, automation, security, or AI certifications are advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate shared cloud platform services on Microsoft Azure, focusing on reliability, scalability, security, and operational consistency.
• Run and evolve the cloud-hosted Kubernetes platform, including deployment workflows, platform services, monitoring, and security controls.
• Define service level objectives, build monitoring/alerting, respond to incidents, and conduct blameless post-incident reviews.
• Automate cloud environments with infrastructure as code and design CI/CD templates for consistent delivery.
• Integrate security and quality controls such as SAST/SCA into delivery workflows.
• Operate enterprise secrets management and artifact repository platforms for governance and risk management.
• Leverage AI to improve platform design and operations, reviewing generated code for quality and security.
