Job summary

AVENSYS CONSULTING PTE. LTD. is seeking a Cloud Engineer with deep AWS and EKS expertise to design, build, and scale cloud-native infrastructure in our Singapore operations. You will own the container orchestration platform and drive IaC automation across production environments.

You will implement GitOps workflows, manage CI/CD pipelines, apply security best practices, and collaborate with software, security, and operations teams to improve platform reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of hands-on AWS networking and core services experience.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, RBAC, and EKS operations.
• Proficiency with Terraform; CloudFormation experience is a plus.
• Strong scripting in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Experience with Docker and container lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with GitOps workflows and CI/CD tooling (Argo CD, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Security-minded with IAM, network security groups, and container scanning.
• Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, CloudWatch).

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, manage, and scale production AWS EKS clusters and microservices.
• Write and modularize infrastructure configurations using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Build, improve, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.
• Manage Helm charts, ingress, service meshes, and worker lifecycle updates.

• Enforce least-privilege IAM policies and container security scanning.
• Participate in incident response, troubleshoot production issues, and support on-call rotation.
• Collaborate with software, security, and operations teams to improve platform stability.

Job description

We are seeking a Cloud Engineer with deep expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) to design, build, and scale cloud-native infrastructure. In this role, you will own the container orchestration platform, automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), implement GitOps workflows, and ensure high availability, security, and observability across production environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, manage, and scale production Amazon EKS clusters and containerized microservices workloads
• Write, maintain, and modularize infrastructure configurations using Terraform or CloudFormation
• Build, improve, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows using tools such as Argo CD, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
• Manage Helm charts, ingress controllers, service meshes, and node group lifecycle updates (e.g., Bottlerocket/AMI rotations, worker patching)
• Implement and tune logging, tracing, and monitoring solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or AWS CloudWatch
• Enforce cloud security best practices, least-privilege IAM policies, network security groups, and container security scanning
• Participate in incident response, troubleshoot production infrastructure issues, and support on-call rotation
• Collaborate with software, security, and operations teams to streamline developer experience and platform stability

Qualifications

• Min 6 years of strong hands‑on experience with AWS networking (VPC, Subnets, Route 53, Load Balancers) and core services (EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, Lambda)
• In‑depth knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, networking models, RBAC, and EKS cluster operations
• Proficiency in Terraform (mandatory)
• Strong programming or scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go
• Deep experience with Docker and container lifecycle management
• Experience with CloudFormation for infrastructure automation
• Familiarity with additional GitOps tools and workflows
• Experience with advanced Kubernetes ecosystem tools and service mesh implementations
• Knowledge of cloud cost optimization and governance strategies
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross‑functional teams
