Job summary

APAR TECHNOLOGIES PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a seasoned Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and support cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP, with a strong emphasis on automation, reliability, and security.

You will deploy and operate containerized apps using Docker and Kubernetes, manage infrastructure as code with Terraform, support CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with developers and IT teams while adopting ITIL practices and AI/LLM patterns for scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of relevant experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure, or related roles.
• Hands-on with AWS, GCP, and Terraform.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Scripting/programming with Java, Unix Shell, Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Experience with middleware such as WebSphere, JBoss, WildFly, Tomcat, Apache, or Kafka.
• Good understanding of ITIL Service Management (Incident, Problem, Change).
• Understanding of LLMs and AI architecture patterns (RAG, Agentic AI, MCP).
• Exposure to Jenkins, Ansible, Elasticsearch, Rundeck, and Git.
• Familiarity with Nagios, OMI, ServiceNow, Geneos.
• Willingness to work in shifts and on-call rotation.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain, and support cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP environments.
• Manage and support infrastructure automation using Terraform.
• Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Develop automation scripts using Java, Unix Shell, Bash, Python, and PowerShell.
• Support middleware technologies including WebSphere, JBoss, WildFly, Tomcat, Apache, and Kafka.
• Support CI/CD and automation platforms such as Jenkins, Ansible, Rundeck, and Git.
• Monitor infrastructure and applications using Nagios, OMI, ServiceNow, and Geneos.
• Work with Elasticsearch for logging, monitoring, and data analysis as required.
• Apply ITIL Service Management practices across Incident, Problem, Change Management.
• Develop understanding of LLMs and AI architecture patterns (RAG, Agentic AI, MCP).
• Troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate resolutions.
• Participate in shift-based operations and rotational on-call support.
• Maintain effective communication with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams.
