Design and deploy cloud infrastructure solutions using AWS best practices. Automate infrastructure provisioning using IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. Manage and optimize AWS resources (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, VPC, IAM, etc.). Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting using CloudWatch or third‑party tools (Datadog, Prometheus, ELK). Ensure security best practices, perform regular backups, disaster recovery, troubleshoot, collaborate with DevOps, monitor cost, maintain documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy cloud infrastructure solutions using AWS best practices.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Manage and optimize AWS resources (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, VPC, IAM, etc.).
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting using CloudWatch or third‑party tools (Datadog, Prometheus, ELK).
- Ensure security best practices are followed (IAM roles, security groups, KMS, patch management).
- Perform regular backups, disaster recovery, and failover strategies.
- Troubleshoot cloud‑related issues and provide first‑line support for cloud services.
- Collaborate with DevOps/Development teams on CI/CD pipeline integration.
- Monitor cloud usage and implement cost‑optimization strategies.
- Maintain documentation of cloud architecture, procedures, and runbooks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in cloud engineering with strong AWS expertise.
- Prior experience working in government/public sector required.
- Proficiency in core AWS services: EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, RDS, Lambda, Route 53, etc.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, CodeBuild, etc.).
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (DNS, VPN, firewalls, load balancers).
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with Linux system administration and/or Windows servers.
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes/EKS).
Preferred Certifications
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional.
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional.
- Any relevant certifications in DevOps, Security, or Kubernetes.
