Job summary

EndeavourX, an entity of the National University Health System, seeks a Cloud Architect to own and scale cloud infrastructure for AI-enabled SaMD products. The role focuses on AWS-based architectures, secure platforms, and scalable deployments across healthcare workflows.

You will implement IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and ensure compliance with regulated development practices while collaborating with clinicians and engineers.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in software engineering and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with CI/CD, containerisation and Infrastructure as Code.
• Solid understanding of cloud security, reliability and production operations.
• Experience building cloud platforms in regulated or safety-critical environments is a plus.

Role Summary

The Cloud Architect will be responsible for EndeavourX’s cloud infrastructure to support AI-enabled software as a medical device (SaMD) products. This role requires a strong coding background and hands-on experience implementing production-grade systems on AWS.

You will be responsible for creating secure, scalable and compliant cloud platforms that support model training, inference, application services and integrations with healthcare systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical architecture across application, data and infrastructure layers, including system integration patterns.
• Design and implement AWS-based cloud architectures to support AI/ML workloads, APIs and user-facing applications.
• Define platform standards and reference architectures for EndeavourX products.
• Architect for availability, scalability, observability and cost control.

Hands-on Engineering

• Implement infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / CloudFormation / CDK).
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support rapid but controlled deployment of services.
• Develop and deploy production-quality platform automation, deployment tooling and integrations.
• Support containerised workloads (Docker, Kubernetes / EKS).

Security, Reliability & Compliance Enablement

• Implement cloud security best practices (IAM, encryption, secrets management, network security).
• Design logging, monitoring and alerting to support operational reliability and auditability.
• Support infrastructure practices aligned with regulated SaMD development (e.g. traceability, change control, environment segregation).

Collaboration & Operations

• Work with product and engineering stakeholders to translate function and non-functional requirements into system and solution designs.
• Work closely with software developers, data scientists and product teams to translate product needs into infrastructure solutions.
• Support production deployments, troubleshooting and incident response.
• Review and guide vendor development teams on cloud architecture, security and deployment practices when required.

Job Requirements

Experience & Skills

• 7–10 years of experience in software engineering and cloud infrastructure roles.
• Experience with CI/CD, containerisation and Infrastructure as Code.
• Solid understanding of cloud security, realiability and production operations.
• Experience building and operating cloud platforms in regulated or safety-critical environments would be an advantage.
