Responsibilities
Administrative
  • Schedule and manage patient appointments
  • Participate in clinical team meetings to enhance patient care
  • Assist the patient relations team in daily patient interactions as needed
  • Help maintain patient files, records and other information
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with the Practice’s quality standards
Clinical
  • Assist in preliminary examinations to assess and record patients’ conditions, and diseases associated with the lower limbs
  • Take and record patients’ vital signs and ensure that their medical histories are properly recorded and updated
  • Help make impressions of patients’ feet for the purpose of creating casts and/or orthotic fittings
  • Prepare patients for detailed examinations by the podiatrist, explaining what the treatment will include and what to expect
  • Assist the podiatrists by setting up equipment and instruments to perform procedures, examinations and/or surgeries
  • Assist podiatrists in minor surgical procedures by applying bandages and ensuring that affected areas are properly treated
  • Assist elderly patients in preparation for examination and/or surgical procedures
  • Ensure that examination rooms are properly cleaned and sanitised prior and post treatment
  • Operate the autoclave required to clean and sanitise equipment
  • Perform routine foot treatments and assist with the non-invasive treatment of common musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Perform post-surgical wound care and assist with management of diabetic foot and leg wounds
  • Communicate closely with patients ensuring their quality of care is maintained and experience is seamless
Qualifications
  • Diploma or Degree in Nursing is preferred for this role

  • Permanent Full-Time position
  • 5 day work week
  • Working hours: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Monday to Saturday, Closed on Sundays and Public Holidays)
