Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and evaluate care for clients, ensuring their needs are met with appropriate nursing interventions.
- Provide quality nursing care to clients, adhering to statutory standards and institutional protocols.
- Administer treatments and conduct investigations as prescribed by the doctor, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols.
- Prepare and assist the doctor during medical procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient environment.
- Collaborate with doctors and allied health professionals to discuss and assess the client’s response to treatment and their progress.
- Follow up with clients to ensure the continuity of their care and treatment plans are being adhered to.
- Practice and promote safe standards in the delivery of nursing care, including infection control and proper handling of clients.
- Participate actively in doctors’ rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings to provide input and discuss client’s care.
- Demonstrate clinical competency, critical thinking, and up-to-date knowledge in the delivery of care.
- Educate clients and their families about daily wellness, disease processes, and rehabilitation, ensuring they are well-informed.
- Serve as a resource person for junior nursing staff and nursing aides, providing guidance and support in clinical skills.
- Participate in clinical and service quality activities, contributing to ongoing improvements in care delivery.
- Any other duties assigned.
Requirements
- State Registered Nurse from an accredited School of Nursing, Polytechnic, or University.
- Post-basic certification in Gerontology, Elder Care, or Dementia Care would be advantageous.
- Valid professional license issued by the Singapore Nursing Board to practice nursing
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- At least 1 year of inpatient or ward experience.
- Able to work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams in a dynamic, fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and other allied healthcare teams.
- Able to work shift duties, including weekends and public holidays.
