Job summary
A local family clinic in Singapore is seeking a dedicated clinic assistant to manage patient registration, assist with in-clinic procedures, and ensure smooth daily operations. The role requires a diploma and offers the opportunity for training in medical practices. Candidates should have a keen service attitude and the ability to work in shifts, including weekends. Knowledge of Mandarin is an advantage to assist elderly patients.
Qualifications
- 5.5-day workweek with shifts; no overnight shifts.

- Prior experience in medical operations preferred but not mandatory.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Patient registration, scheduling of appointments, and sending reminders.
- Answering phone/SMS and email queries promptly.
- Handling payments and preparing submissions of TPA (Third-Party) Claims, Medisave Claims, Insurance Claims, and other documentation.
- Preparing medications for doctor’s review and dispensing medication.
- Assisting in performing simple in-clinic procedures such as ECG and nebulizer treatments (training will be provided).
- Assisting the doctor during consultations and performing chaperone duties.
- Handling first-level patient complaints.
- Maintaining and updating patients’ records according to standard guidelines.
- Assisting in the daily operations and upkeep of the clinic.
- Managing medication, consumables, and equipment, including replenishment and housekeeping.
- Performing other administrative tasks related to patient care and clinic operations.
Job Requirements
- 5.5-day workweek (Weekday + 1 Alternating Weekend). Must be able to commit to rotating (AM, Noon & Evening) and weekend shifts. No overnight shifts.
- Diploma in any discipline / GCE 'A' Level / 'O' Level / Higher NITEC.
- Prior experience in hospital/medical clinic operations or front desk duties is preferred but not mandatory (training will be provided).
- Familiarity with computer usage and/or clinic operations.
- Keen service attitude towards patient care and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work dependably in a team.
Advantage (Not Mandatory)
- Prior experience as an enrolled nurse.
- Ability to move between different clinics when needed to provide support.
- Familiarity with Plato CMS.
- Experience in submission of insurance and Medisave claims.
- Proficiency in Mandarin/Dialects is an advantage to assist non-English-speaking elderly patients (This is included as a job necessity rather than a preference to align with fair hiring practices.)
