Job summary

The National Climate Change Secretariat, Singapore, invites interns to assist with national climate resilience and regional adaptation work. You will support risk assessments, synthesize insights from diverse sources, and contribute to policy guidance for government agencies.

This hybrid internship offers part-time hours during term time (28 hours/week) and full-time during vacation periods, with a start date of 2 Jan 2027 and end around Jul/Aug 2027.

Qualifications

• Analytical skills to interpret complex data and extract relevant information.
• Research proficiency in thorough literature reviews using authoritative sources (IEA/IPCC).

Responsibilities

• Conduct literature reviews and synthesize findings to support the national strategy for climate resilience.
• Support long-term climate adaptation planning and resource allocation.
• Assess Singapore’s exposure to transboundary climate risks.
• Scan and analyse authoritative reports to identify international trends and developments.
• Synthesize stakeholder views to assess impacts on decarbonisation strategies.
• Extract and compile insights from news sources to inform policy decisions.
• Contribute to development of implications for strategic direction and policy planning.
