Job summary

National University of Singapore is seeking a Research Assistant/Associate for the Centre for Sustainable Medicine to advance evidence synthesis and policy‑relevant outputs. The role bridges research, policy, and implementation across climate-health priorities.

You will synthesize findings, produce policy briefs and reports, and support dissemination to ministries, hospitals, and international partners, contributing to global sustainable healthcare transformation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in public health, health policy, health systems, environmental health, economics, social policy, or related field.
• 3-8 years of experience in research, public policy, evidence synthesis, policy-facing roles, or related functions.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and translate complex technical or research material into clear, structured outputs for varied audiences.
• Strong analytical and writing skills with editorial judgement to distil evidence without oversimplifying it.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and engaging senior stakeholders across research, policy, and implementation settings.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize, analyse, and translate research findings into actionable outputs for policy and practice.
• Develop research outputs: reports, peer‑reviewed papers, technical analyses, and policy briefs.
• Interpret emissions baselines, transformation strategies, health analytics, and education initiatives.
• Convert research outputs into policy briefs, executive summaries, and knowledge products.
• Coordinate with CoSM partners to communicate evidence narratives to policymakers and health leaders.
• Support manuscript drafting, co-author coordination, and reference management.
• Foster policy feedback cycles by gathering insights from governments and practitioners.
• Ensure lessons from implementation inform future research framing and programme development.
• Facilitate dialogue between research teams and policy/practice stakeholders.
