A leading international bank in Singapore is seeking a professional to focus on the Overseas Chinese clientele in developing and deploying banking propositions. The ideal candidate should have 6-8 years of retail banking experience, strong analytical skills, and the capacity to design effective marketing strategies. Key responsibilities include driving client acquisition and optimizing the client journey, with a focus on compliance and innovation.
The Singapore business has increased focus on the Overseas Chinese (OC) diaspora, given their strong cross-border wealth flows, deep family and business ties across Asia and demand for sophisticated international banking solutions. To grow and amplify our proposition for the OC, this role holder will design, deploy and amplify relevant value propositions, adopting relevant channel mixes. The KPIs for this role primarily entail growth in new-to-bank OC clients, as well as early activation and TRB qualification of such clients.
Key stakeholders that will need to be engaged regularly in Singapore as well as China / HK / TW by the role holder include but are not limited to – Props, Marketing, Distribution, Products (incl WPS) and D&A.
This role sits in a highly competitive space and there will be a need to continually think creatively to showcase proposition USP. It also sits in a space with heavy cross-border regulation and creative thinking is essential to deploy propositions in a compliant yet effective manner.
The role holder will have access to regular guidance but should be self-driven and should have a problem-solving attitude.
The role holder will also need to work across teams and functions and hence good interpersonal skills is a must.
As a part of onboarding, the incumbent will be familiarized with Operational risks and FIM requirements. The role holder will need to understand, internalize and put to practice all of the gatekeeping directives as guided by the Operational Manuals
Adherence to the FIM and DIM (e.g. Premier FIM)
Critical understanding of cross-border do’s and don’ts
Critical understanding of data privacy
Strong and resourceful problem solver who can manage issues including project related defects working with the various partners
The role will report to Head, Premier & International Propositions who in turn reports to Head, Customer International & Marketing.
