Your Position
As a Senior Onboarding Manager, you will lead the client onboarding function, ensuring strategic alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory compliance. You will drive process excellence, foster innovation, and serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders. This role demands strong leadership, regulatory expertise, and the ability to influence change across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with different stakeholders like the onboarding hub/ service team including supporting the service team in CDD/KYC conversations/discussions with clients to achieve smooth onboarding of clients. As well as interface with Compliance for complex and high risk matters.
- Strategic Leadership: Define and implement onboarding strategies that align with global standards and business goals. Champion continuous improvement and digital transformation initiatives.
- Regulatory & Risk Oversight: Oversee risk assessment frameworks for onboarding processes. Act as the primary liaison with regulators and external auditors on compliance matters.
- Process Optimization: Establish KPIs and reporting dashboards to monitor onboarding performance. Drive automation and efficiency in workflows.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leadership to shape onboarding policies and governance. Represent the organization in industry forums and regulatory consultations.
- Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team of Onboarding Managers across the region. Mentor and develop talent, ensuring succession planning and capability building.
- Project & Change Management: Lead cross-functional projects to enhance compliance and operational excellence. Manage change initiatives for new regulatory requirements.
- Thought Leadership: Provide insights on onboarding trends and regulatory developments. Act as a subject matter expert for global onboarding standards.
Your Profile
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in client onboarding within professional services, law firms, or financial institutions.
- Deep knowledge of regulatory frameworks, including TCSP, AML, MAS Notices, and global compliance standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in law, accounting, business administration, corporate governance, or related fields; advanced qualifications preferred.
- Proven leadership experience with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.
- Strategic thinker, proactive, adaptable, and results-driven.
