Job summary

A leading logistics and supply chain company in Singapore is seeking a Client Operations Manager to oversee key client relations and inventory management. You will coordinate closely with logistics, manage KPIs, and provide exceptional service to clients while driving operational improvements. Candidates should possess a diploma or degree in business or supply chain management and have at least 2-3 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description
The role
  • Perform as 1st point of contact for key clients.
  • Manage & improve the service image, and maximize the level of satisfaction for existing clients.
Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory Management
  • Coordinate closely with logistics (DC) for incoming shipment tracking.
  • Ensure inventory levels is within the contractual inventory holding target.
  • Prompt review & action on the obsolesces to minimize the non-working inventory.
  • Work closely with DC to monitor the excess storage charges and informed the affected Clients.
  • Provide timely and proper instruction to Material Management team for inventory transfer, write off, block action.
2. Client Management
  • Based on business contract, identify key service areas and KPIs. Translate into monthly KPI report for Operation Meetings.
  • Align the KPI definition and targets with cross-functional team, namely CCC, DC, SCM, and Finance.
  • Responsible to consolidate and understand the KPI matrix, and reason for failure to meet the KPI, if any.
  • Conduct monthly operations review, or quarterly business review with key clients (including Operation stats, open issues, progress, etc.).
  • Liaises with Clients on their requirements & assist to resolve daily problems encountered.
  • Maintain high frequency of engagement with Clients to build effective and strong working relationships.
  • Work with other cross-functional departments like DC, CCC and finance to ensure clients’ operational requirements are met.
  • Consolidate data and provide supporting documents for all service charges (including regular charges base on contract and ad-hoc charges).
  • Work closely with Finance to ensure service fee is claimed timely and accurately. Develop and document working instructions related to the management of client operation process flow.
  • Initiate and drive in process improvement projects for clients’ operations.
  • Perform any ad-hoc projects or duties as assigned.
Job requirements
  • Diploma/bachelor’s degree in business management or supply chain management or a related field required.
  • Requires at least 2 to 3 years’ experience in client management, operation or supply chain related functions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Words & Power Point.
  • Able to work independently and is committed to meeting deadline given.
  • Meticulous and strong analytical ability.
  • Proficiency in English both written and spoken.
  • Operates well when under stress.
  • Good interpersonal skills with some project management experience will be ideal
  • SAP experience will be an advantage.
  • Strong Communication & Negotiation skills.
