Job Title: Commercial Cleaning Operations Manager

SQ 1 Development Pte Ltd is an established facilities and commercial cleaning service provider. We are expanding our operations and are looking for a Commercial Cleaning Operations Manager to oversee multiple sites and lead our ground teams. This is a higher entry level position suitable for experienced candidates ready to take on wider responsibilities and manage key client accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to‑day cleaning operations across assigned commercial sites (e.g. offices, malls, industrial, hospitality).
- Lead, coach and supervise Site Supervisors and cleaning teams to ensure high service standards and productivity.
- Plan and manage manpower deployment, duty rosters and coverage for leave/MC to avoid service lapses.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits and follow up on corrective actions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients; handle feedback, complaints and service recovery professionally.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, safety standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Monitor operational costs, usage of chemicals, equipment and consumables to minimise wastage and improve cost efficiency.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and training of new staff.
- Prepare simple operational reports and updates for management and clients where required.
Working Hours & Schedule
- Rotating shifts depending on operational needs.
- Required to work on weekends and Public Holidays with off‑days provided on weekdays.
- Must be contactable after office hours for urgent operational issues.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in commercial cleaning / facilities management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning operations, methods, equipment and chemicals.
- Proven experience in handling multiple sites and managing frontline staff.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to manage both clients and ground employees effectively.
- Strong planning, problem‑solving and follow‑up skills; hands‑on and willing to attend to site matters when required.
- Able to work under pressure, handle urgent operational issues and respond to client needs promptly.
- Basic PC skills (e.g. email, MS Excel/Word) for reporting and administration.
- Possess a valid Class 3 driving licence and comfortable driving to various sites when required.
