Job summary

MY WORLD PRESCHOOL LTD. in Singapore is seeking a dedicated Cleaning Assistant to support teachers and maintain a clean learning environment.

The role includes hygiene, meal-service, and routine sanitization of classrooms and facilities. You will assist in bathing children, serving meals, and cleaning floors, chairs, windows, and furniture, while helping with mattress covers and general tidying as directed by the Principal.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintaining classroom cleanliness preferred.
• Ability to work in a busy preschool environment.
• Willingness to assist teachers with daily activities.

Responsibilities

• Assists the teachers in bathing the children.
• Serves food to the children at meal times.
• Cleans the offices and the toilets.
• Cleans the floor after breakfast, before napping, after lunch and after tea.
• Ensures floor is dry before children walk on it.
• Cleans chairs, windows, cubby holes, shelves and shoe racks.
• Cleans tables as needed.
• Assists in removing mattress covers on Fridays and replacing on Mondays.
• Assists other staff in cleaning messes created by children.
• Fills water trough each morning and empties in the afternoon.
• Controls use of toiletries according to budget.
• Assists in cooking when required.
• Carrys out other tasks as assigned by the Principal.

Job description

• Assists the teachers in bathing the children
• Serves food to the children at meal times
• Cleans the offices and the toilets
• Cleans the floor after breakfast, before the children’s nap time, after lunch and after tea time
• Ensures that the floor is dry at all times before children are allowed to walk on it.
• Ensures the cleanliness of the children’s chairs, windows, cubby holes, shelves and shoe racks
• Cleans the tables as and when they are dirty
• Assists teachers in removing mattress covers every Friday and slipping them onto the mattresses every Monday
• Assists other staff in cleaning the mess created by children
• Fills the water trough with water every morning and to empty it in the afternoon
• Controls the usage of toiletries according to the budget given
• Assists in cooking whenever needed
• Carries out any other tasks assigned by the Principal from time to time
