Job summary

A civil engineering consultancy in Singapore is seeking a dedicated Civil and Structural Engineer to design and detail engineering works. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil & Structural Engineering and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Familiarity with Singapore's codes of practice is essential. This role involves project analysis, coordination with various stakeholders, and ensuring timely submissions. Strong communication skills are preferred as well as proficiency in relevant software. Candidates should be able to start within one month.

Qualifications

Job description

Responsibilities

• Carry out the design and detailing of civil and structural engineering works.
• Perform structural analysis of components using appropriate engineering software.
• Coordinate with clients’ representatives, project managers, consultants, and architects from project inception through to completion.
• Attend meetings during the various phases of projects.
• Ensure timely submission of reports and completion of projects for tender and authority submissions in accordance with target dates.
• Handle on-site technical, engineering, and administrative matters.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Senior Engineer or Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the design of buildings, civil, and infrastructure works.
• Familiar with Singapore codes of practice and submission requirements to relevant authorities.
• Proficient in ETABS, SAFE, PLAXIS, PROKON, and AutoCAD drafting / BIM modelling.
• Good command of spoken English.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude, self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Able to commence work within one month.
• Willing to be based at 15-2, Jalan Boling Padang G 13/G, Seksyen 13, 40100 Shah Alam, Selangor Darul Ehsan, Malaysia.
