Description
To assist Project Manager as the Civil Works Specialist in the Oil & Gas/Energy Infrastructure Industry, for project planning, cost control, monitoring, coordination, engineering and design reviews, method statement risks assessments, procurement-related issues, coordination with discipline engineers and other contractors / vendors to meet schedule and budget.
Responsibilities
- Managing, allocating resources and ensuring completion of civil works on time.
- Experience and ability to manage civil budget, with knowledge in contractual Extension of Time (EOT), cost claims and variation orders
- Able to have understanding the piling, civil foundations, pipe racks, building design principles to manage the civil works within schedule and with quality.
- Managing project deliverables in line with the project plan, closely working with construction team & project management team
- Communicating with Project Engineer / QC engineer to validate and document all changes and highlight to PM for changes that shall involve change order/variations
- Ensure that records are accurate and comply with organisational and legal requirements as well as project requirements.
- Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise at any time.
- Plan and control procurement schedules and work with the procurement department to expedite vendor data and delivery.
- Produce look ahead plans in conjunction with the Site Management Team.
- Comply with company procedures and legal obligations.
- Promote best practice for Safety, Quality and Productivity.
- Promote and comply with environmental compliance.
- Ensure work is delivered defect/snag free.
- Endeavour to spot and highlight value engineering opportunities and innovative ideas and closely working with Construction Manager.
- Coordinate with client and other Contractors for the project interface activities.
- Managing project scope and change control with commercial or without commercial impact.
- Preparation of Method of Statement, Risk Assessments for various installation works.
- Managing project deliverables in line with the project plan, closely working with construction team & project management team with leadership skills.
- Monitoring project progress and performance.
- Working closely with main contractor and client to ensure the project meets the required needs.
- Monitor and ensure supervisor plan and instruct and monitor in DWI.
- Update and report daily progress status and lookahead minimum 3days plan with Supervisor.
- Timely handover of works and Quality records without outstanding defects.
- Production of accurate records, drawing registers and weekly Reports.
- Maintain good relationship with Site team & client technical representative.
Requirements
- Preferably Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- At least 10 years relevant experience in Oil/Gas, Petrochemical and Energy Infrastructure Industry in Singapore
- Extensive knowledge of Engineering, Procurement, Project controls and Construction work processes.
- Prior experiences working with Jetty Marine Projects / FSRU will be added advantage.
