Job summary

S. A E & C (S) PTE LTD is seeking a Civil Engineer to manage site activities and coordinate with contractors for Steel Structure, Metal, RC, and architectural works in Singapore.

The role requires on-site oversight and close collaboration with professional engineers and government agencies. The candidate should have a Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, with at least 5 years of local experience on LTA projects or high-rise buildings, and be proficient in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering or similar course.
• At least 5 years of experience in Singapore in the related field.
• Experience working on LTA projects / high-rise buildings.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with Senior Management and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage site activities for Steel Structure / Metal / RC and architectural works.
• Handle on-site technical matters and ensure alignment with drawings and specs.
• Prepare site forms such as Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and Safe Work Procedures.
• Coordinate with main contractors, subcontractors and Professional Engineers.
• Ensure the project is on schedule and within budget; perform on-site measurements.
• Review and amend shop drawings and provide comments.
• Lead toolbox talks and assist Senior Management as required.

Salary range – S$3,000.00 to S$5,000.00

Job Description – Civil Engineer

Responsibilities

• Project site management mainly related to Steel Structure / Metal / RC / Architectural works
• Manage and handle on-site technical matters
• To prepare site related forms like Method Statement, Risk Assessment, Safe Work Procedures, etc
• Coordination with personnel from both main-contractors and sub-contractors
• Coordination with Professional Engineers
• Coordination with relevant Government agencies like LTA, SMRT, SCDF, etc
• Ensure project is executed in accordance with the construction standards and specifications
• Ensure project is on schedule and within budget
• To do on-site measurements and tally the measurements to drawings
• To prepare / amend / study shop-drawings and give comments
• To make sure all site staff attend the Tool Box Meetings (TBM)
• Any other ad hoc duties assigned by the Senior Management

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering or similar course
• Has at least 5 years of experience in Singapore in the related field
• Has experience working for LTA projects / high‑rise buildings
• Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word & Excel in particular)
• Must have good interpersonal / social skills to explain, communicate, liaise, negotiate with the Senior Management, own construction team, and main-contractors and/or subcontractors
