Job summary

JD HDD Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Civil/Construction Engineer specialised in Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) to plan, coordinate and supervise underground utility installation works. You will ensure compliance with drawings, regulations, and safety standards while collaborating with project managers and subcontractors to deliver projects on schedule.

The role requires a civil engineering qualification and practical experience in HDD or trenchless methods, with strong drawing-reading

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in civil engineering, construction, or underground utility works.
• Ability to understand engineering drawings and site documentation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) and underground utility installation works to meet project objectives
• Monitor daily site activities to track project progress, quality standards, and safety compliance
• Coordinate effectively with project managers, site supervisors, subcontractors, and utility service providers to ensure smooth operations
• Read and interpret construction drawings, utility plans, and technical specifications to guide site execution
• Assist in preparing project plans, work schedules, method statements, and progress reports to support project management
• Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, project requirements, and relevant Singapore regulations
• Identify and resolve site issues promptly to maintain safety and keep projects on schedule
