Overview

Responsible for designing and detailing civil and structural projects, while coordinating with clients and other disciplines. Key responsibilities include performing structural calculations with software like STAAD.Pro, ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical industry codes and standards, resolving construction feedback issues, and potentially managing both the design and construction phases.

Design and detailing

• Design and detail civil and structural works for pharmaceutical and chemical plant projects.
• Perform structural calculations and analysis.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant client codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Project coordination and management

• Liaise with clients, architects, consultants, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project integration.
• Manage, plan, and oversee assigned civil and structural projects from design through to construction.
• Review design drawings and reports from external firms, providing comments and approval.

Site and construction support

• Troubleshoot and resolve construction-related issues that arise from the design deliverables.
• Conduct site visits to gather information and monitor construction progress and quality.
• Ensure construction activities comply with design requirements, quality standards, and health, safety, and environment (HSE) regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree in a civil or structural engineering-related major.
• Proficiency with relevant design software (e.g., STAAD.Pro) and a strong understanding of civil and steel structure engineering.
• Experience with both design and construction phases, with an understanding of on-site quality control and EHS requirements.
