Job description
  1. Site Supervision and Coordination:Oversee daily site operations to ensure that the construction project is progressing according to the project plan, timelines, and quality standards.
    Coordinate and supervise the activities of workers, subcontractors, and equipment on site.
    Ensure that safety protocols are followed, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
    Enforce company policies and regulations to ensure smooth operations.
  2. Quality Control:Ensure that all construction work is performed in accordance with the plans, specifications, and quality standards.
    Inspect the work being done and identify any issues or defects.
    Conduct regular checks on the quality of materials used and the workmanship on site.
  3. Safety Management:Ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act and regulations in Singapore.
    Conduct daily safety briefings, toolbox meetings, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
    Monitor the construction site for safety hazards and take immediate action to address any risks.
  4. Liaising with Stakeholders:Act as a point of contact between the project team (architects, engineers, and project managers) and workers on site.
    Communicate progress, issues, and any delays to senior management, clients, or contractors.
    Assist with resolving any on-site disputes or challenges between workers, subcontractors, or other stakeholders.
  5. Resource Management:Ensure that adequate labor, materials, and equipment are available on-site for the timely execution of construction work.
    Maintain an inventory of materials and ensure that they are stored properly.
    Monitor and control costs associated with materials and labor.
  6. Scheduling and Planning:Assist in planning work schedules and allocate tasks to workers based on their skills and availability.
    Ensure that the project adheres to established timelines and work schedules.
    Monitor work progress and resolve any delays or issues that may arise.
  7. Documentation and Reporting:Keep accurate records of daily activities, progress, work completed, issues, and safety inspections.
    Provide regular reports on site progress and any issues to the project manager.
    Maintain records of inspections, permits, and any required certifications.
  8. Problem Solving:Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during construction, whether they are related to technical problems, delays, or disputes.
    Ensure that corrective actions are implemented to prevent future issues.
  9. Environmental Compliance:Ensure that construction practices adhere to environmental regulations and standards.
    Implement waste management and sustainability practices, including the proper disposal of construction waste.
  10. Training and Development:
  • Provide on-the-job training for workers and ensure they are familiar with the tools, equipment, and safety measures.
  • Encourage continuous learning and compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
