Job summary

Mandarinstars Learning Centre, Singapore, seeks a dedicated Chinese teacher for K2 to P6. You will conduct lessons, cover for colleagues, and report student progress to parents via the portal after each class.

Requirements include a degree with 2+ years of experience in MOE schools or Chinese enrichment centers, native-level Chinese, strong interpersonal skills, and proficiency in MS Word/PowerPoint. Work with a small class size of up to 6 students.

Qualifications

• Degree holder with at least 2 years of experience teaching Chinese language at MOE schools or Chinese enrichment center.
• Singaporeans and Permanent Residents only.
• Excellent spoken and written skills in Chinese language.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Team player.
• Competence in PC skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Conduct lessons based on lesson plans and curriculum. Detailed lesson plans will be provided.
• Cover lessons for colleagues when they are sick or on leave.
• Provide updates to parents about student progress and upload lesson summary to parents onto the portal after each lesson.
• Mark students' work.
• Prepare student progress reports twice a year.
• Assist with preparing teaching materials in the morning when there are no lessons.

Mandarinstars Learning Centre provides Chinese enrichment programmes for K2 to P6 students who have difficulties learning Chinese using the traditional learning methods. Our curriculum breaks down learning into smaller manageable parts, so students are able to learn to read, write and understand Chinese language. We keep our class size small up to 6 students so teachers can dedicate their time to teach.
