Position Summary

The incumbent will be responsible for defining and executing the technology vision and strategy for our asset management firm. This role will lead to the design, development, and implementation of our core technology platform — driving innovation, scalability, and security across all digital products and infrastructure. The incumbent will partner closely with the founding team to align technology initiatives with business objectives, ensuring our systems deliver data-driven insights, operational efficiency, and exceptional client experiences.

As an early leadership hire, the incumbent will play a critical role in building the engineering culture, selecting the tech stack, and scaling the technology team to support rapid business growth and evolving product needs.

Responsibilities
  • Technology Strategy: Define and execute the overall technology roadmap aligned with business goals.
  • Product Development: Oversee the design and development of asset management platforms, analytics tools, or data-driven investment systems.
  • Architecture & Infrastructure: Establish scalable, secure, and compliant system architecture (cloud-based, modular, API-first).
  • Team Leadership: Set up and manage internal systems, including employee hardware/software environments, collaboration tools, and access management.
  • Data Management: Ensure robust data pipelines, integration, and governance for financial, market, and client data.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement best practices for cybersecurity, privacy, and regulatory compliance & ensure compliance with relevant financial, data security, and privacy regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the top management and teams to translate business strategy into technical execution.
Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience in software development, data engineering, or fintech product development.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling technology platforms (preferably in fintech, asset management, or SaaS).
  • Strong understanding of financial systems, APIs, data analytics, and investment workflows.
  • Proficiency in modern tech stacks — e.g., Python, PostgreSQL, and more or similar.
  • Deep experience with cloud architecture, data security, and DevOps.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable with ambiguity, hands-on execution, and rapid iteration.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills; ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Good command in English and Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
  • Prior experience in fintech, investment management, or a data-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML models for financial forecasting, risk analytics, or portfolio optimization.
  • Experience integrating with third-party systems (brokers, custodians, data providers, CRMs).
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance standards for financial data.
