Role Summary
We are seeking an accomplished Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the company’s technology strategy, innovation roadmap, and smart operations & maintenance (O&M) development. This role is ideal for a senior engineering and technology leader with deep expertise in geotechnical engineering, civil infrastructure, smart operations, and technical management.
The CTO will oversee all technology‑related initiatives, including R&D, digital transformation, intelligent O&M systems, engineering innovation, and major project technical governance. The ideal candidate has strong academic foundations, extensive industry experience, and a proven track record in managing technical teams and technology‑driven engineering operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technology Strategy & Innovation
- Develop and execute the company’s overall technology strategy to support business growth and operational excellence.
- Lead the advancement of smart O&M technologies, digital engineering solutions, and intelligent monitoring systems.
- Drive R&D initiatives, feasibility studies, and implementation of innovative engineering methodologies.
2. Technical Leadership & Governance
- Provide expert guidance on geotechnical engineering, civil infrastructure, and complex engineering challenges.
- Serve as the company’s senior technical authority, ensuring sound engineering principles and regulatory compliance.
- Lead technical reviews, risk assessments, and major engineering decision‑making processes.
3. Management of Engineering Technology Units
- Oversee technical centres, smart O&M divisions, and engineering management departments.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams responsible for technology development, engineering standards, and technical documentation.
- Strengthen cross‑department collaboration to support major project delivery and technology application.
4. Digitalization & Smart O&M Development
- Promote and manage the development of intelligent O&M platforms and digital engineering tools.
- Introduce advanced technologies for asset monitoring, predictive maintenance, and automated analysis.
- Ensure the successful integration of smart systems into rail, urban infrastructure, and transport projects.
5. Stakeholder & Project Coordination
- Collaborate closely with project owners, design partners, research institutes, and internal business units.
- Support major rail transit and infrastructure projects with high‑level technical direction.
- Represent the company in technical meetings, expert panels, and industry collaborations.
6. Organizational Leadership & Team Development
- Build and develop high‑performing technical teams with strong engineering and digital capability.
- Mentor senior engineers and promote a culture of innovation, safety, and continuous learning.
- Support long‑term succession planning and capability development for the technology division.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- 12–20 years of progressive experience in technology leadership roles.
- Proven track record as CTO, VP of Engineering, Head of Technology, or similar senior role.
- Strong technical expertise across software engineering, system architecture, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity.
- Demonstrated leadership in scaling engineering teams and building high‑quality products.
- Experience leading digital transformation and enterprise technology modernization.
- Strong business acumen and ability to translate technology into strategic value.
