Job description
About the Company

Our client is a fast-growing, early-stage organization operating across deep technology, AI-driven innovation, and frontier research, with a specific focus on the medical and healthcare domains. The team is small, high-performance, and mission-driven.

This role offers the rare opportunity to work directly with founders on strategy, operations, and new initiatives, gaining exposure typically unavailable to early-career talent.

About the Role

You will act as a strategic partner to the Founding Team, operating at the intersection of venture building, investment, and medical innovation. You will not just support decisions; you will help make them. You will not just watch projects happen; you will run them.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning & Project Selection
  • Participate in high-stakes strategic debates with the Founding Team to determine the company’s direction.
  • Decide what to build: You will play a key role in evaluating internal ideas and deciding which specific medical or tech projects the company will commit to building and operating.
  • Analyze market feasibility, technical viability, and resource requirements to turn abstract concepts into concrete business roadmaps.
  • New Venture Operations (The "Operator" Role)
  • Once a decision is made to launch a new project, you will step in as the Project Owner/Operator.
  • Unlike a traditional incubator that supports external teams, you will run these projects directly. You will be responsible for execution, operations, and growth.
  • You will drive the project from zero to one, managing the P&L, setting up workflows, and solving complex operational challenges in the medical/tech space.
  • Investment & Market Intelligence
  • Manage early-stage startup investment activities, including sourcing, due diligence, and deal flow management.
  • Conduct deep-dive research into complex medical technologies and frontier science to identify the next big opportunity for the company.
  • Company Operations & Administration
  • As an early-stage company, we run lean. You will handle the necessary "company building" tasks to ensure the business runs without friction.
  • Oversee essential finance coordination, legal compliance, and vendor management.
  • Note: This refers strictly to business operations and company administration. You are not expected to handle the founders' personal affairs.
Qualifications
  • Medical/Scientific Background or Acumen (Highly Preferred)
  • A background in Medicine, Biomedical Science, Pharmacy, or related fields is strongly preferred.
  • Alternatively, you must possess the intellectual horsepower and willingness to quickly grasp complex medical concepts and technical literature. You should not be intimidated by reading clinical research or technical whitepapers.
  • High Intelligence & Strategic Thinking
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to structure chaos into clear logic.
  • Ability to switch contexts instantly—from analyzing a medical investment opportunity to fixing an operational bottleneck.
  • Extreme Ownership
  • You do not wait for instructions. If a project needs to be built, you build it.
  • You are willing to get your hands dirty with administrative work if that is what is required to unblock a strategic initiative.
  • Bilingual Fluency
  • Strong proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese is required to communicate with diverse stakeholders and partners in the region.
Location

Based in Singapore (Hybrid work arrangement). Open to occasional travel.

Why This Role Is Exceptional
  • Real Decision Power: You are not just a facilitator; you are a decision-maker regarding which projects the company brings to life.
  • Operator Experience: You will gain direct experience running medical/tech ventures, not just advising on them.
  • Founder-Level Exposure: Work directly with decision-makers and understand how a fast-moving deep-tech organization operates from the inside.
