Job description
🛠 Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Financial Leadership
  • Develop and execute financial strategy aligned with company goals
  • Partner with CEO and executive team on strategic planning, M&A, and investments
  • Provide actionable insights based on financial data and market trends
2. Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning
  • Monitor key metrics (e.g. revenue, cost control, profitability)
  • Deliver regular financial performance updates to the board and leadership
3. Accounting & Reporting
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in line with IFRS or GAAP
  • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes
  • Coordinate with auditors, external advisors, and tax consultants
4. Risk Management & Compliance
  • Assess and mitigate financial and operational risks
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain appropriate internal controls and governance structures
5. Cash Flow & Capital Management
  • Optimize capital structure and manage working capital efficiently
  • Lead fundraising activities, investor relations, and banking relationships
  • Oversee treasury, liquidity, and cash flow management
6. Team Leadership
  • Build, lead, and mentor the finance and accounting team
  • Foster a high-performance, ethical, and collaborative culture
  • Oversee HR, Legal, or IT functions if included in the role scope (common in smaller firms)
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics; MBA or CPA/CA preferred
  • At least 10–15 years of progressive finance experience, with 5+ years in senior leadership
  • Strong command of financial systems, reporting tools, and regulatory frameworks
