Job summary

A leading petrochemical company in Singapore is seeking an experienced financial leader to develop and execute financial plans, oversee reporting and analysis, and manage a finance team. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of finance experience, including 5 years in leadership, with a strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and industry knowledge. Multilingual proficiency in Mandarin is advantageous.

Qualifications

Job Description

• Develop and execute financial plans and budgets for the company's operations in Singapore and China.
• Formulated the international financial strategy of company and promoted its implementation
• Financial management and risk control management
• Oversee financial reporting and analysis, including regular forecasts and variance analysis
• Overseas fund planning and financing work of the Group of company and promote the group’s overall internationalization strategy
• Partner with MDs of the region to provide financial support for strategic decision-making and identify areas for cost savings and growth opportunities
• Manage the finance team and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and tax authorities
• Monitor and analyze financial performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide recommendations for improvement
• Develop and implement financial controls to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
• Provide strategic financial guidance to the senior leadership and executive team

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred
• 10+ years of relevant experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
• Experience in budgeting and forecasting, strategic planning, and commercial business partnering
• Prior Experience in oil / energy / petrochemical industry preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and patterns in financial data
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
• Proven track record of delivering results and driving change in a complex, global organization
• Strong technical skills, including proficiency in financial modelling, analysis, and reporting
• the ideal candidate should be multilingual with proficiency in Mandarin being advantageous, as there will be a need to communicate with Mandarin-speaking counterparts
