Key Responsibilities:
1. Regional Strategy & Business Leadership
- Develop and execute the regional strategy in alignment with global HQ directives.
- Identify growth opportunities across key APAC markets and lead execution of new market entries, partnerships, and regional initiatives.
- Serve as the key bridge between Korean HQ leadership and local/regional operations, translating corporate goals into regional action plans.
2. Cross-Functional Operations & P&L Ownership
- Oversee all business operations across APAC markets, ensuring profitability, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Manage the region’s full P&L, drive cost control initiatives, and optimize resource allocation across countries.
3. HQ Liaison & Communication
- Maintain regular and effective communication with HQ (in Korea) and Korean expats in the region.
- Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and strategic updates in both Korean and English.
- Ensure local execution aligns with HQ’s standards, cultural expectations, and long-term vision.
4. Leadership & People Management
- Build, manage, and mentor high-performing local and regional teams.
- Support the integration of HQ leadership into regional operations.
- Foster a collaborative, multicultural working environment that reflects both global and local perspectives.
5. Risk Management, Governance & Compliance
- Ensure all operations comply with local laws and global corporate governance.
- Identify risks across operations, finance, and HR, and implement mitigation strategies.
Qualifications:
- Fluency in English and Korean (written and spoken) is mandatory (primary liaison between regional teams and HQ Korea).
- 15+ years of leadership experience in regional or multi-country roles, ideally in APAC.
- Proven ability to manage complex cross-border operations and drive business growth.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to navigate both Korean and international business cultures.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or similar advanced degree preferred.
