Job description

Chief Accountant - Purpose:

The purpose of this role is responsible for managing, overseeing accounting, taxation, financing matters and required finance/account reports for the Company and its subsidiaries, and other related services in a timely and effective manner; supporting other personnel in the Company to handle/solve accounting and financing matters.

Key relationships
  • Internal: Director and personnel of the Company and its subsidiaries.
  • External: Clients and relevant external bodies and/or agencies, including governmental authorities, financial institutes.
Responsibilities
  • Full set of accounts.
  • Accounting data input & processing (in computer or XERO).
  • Timely & accurate month-end closing.
  • Invoice issuance based on sales contract.
  • Cash balance
  • Reports:
    • Submission of GST & tax reports to IRAS.
    • Daily, monthly reports (P&L, cash flow, balance sheet, bank statement, etc) to the managers and parent company.
    • Prepare periodic audit report and other reports as required by competent authorities, the Company.
  • Bank Transactions:
    • Checking payment documents requested and provided by related teams.
    • Preparation of bank requirements for payment process.
  • Credit Lines:
    • Records of credit facility, preparation of necessary documents for credit facilities of the Company.
    • Dealing with financial institutions regarding credit issues of the Company
  • Tax Issues:
    • Acknowledgement of current and new tax policies/regulations imposed by IRAS.
    • Being in contact with IRAS and other governmental agencies when required.
    • Oversees the processing of taxes, in cooperation with external service companies as required.
  • Support other departments:
    • Data provision for forecast, budgeting process.
    • Guidance on procedure of payment, invoices.
    • Consultancy on issues related to banks, tax, accounting.
    • Support HR Dept to work with government and other related tasks when needed.
  • Subsidiaries accounting and financing:
    • Managing and overseeing accounting matters for all the Company's subsidiaries.
    • Maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations in countries where the subsidiaries are located.
  • Other tasks as required by the Director
Qualifications
  • At least 25 continuous years of experience in accounting with specific achievements.
  • Have experience in working with governmental bodies.
  • Accounting/Financial degree.
  • Team-working, organizational skills, communication skills.
  • Able to use accounting software.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadline.
  • Excellent CAN-DO attitude.
  • Good written and spoken English and Vietnamese
  • Ability to work under pressure.
