Job Descriptions
- Precious Metal extraction using various equipment
- Monitor chemical processes and adjust parameters to maintain product quality and process efficiency
- Lead and train chemist to ensure a high-performing team
- Conduct or oversee laboratory testing on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
- Maintain and manage equipment, consumables, and chemicals
- Prepare and execute operational documents, ISO, and procedures
- Assist and ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety (EHS), NEA regulations and guidelines, general risk assessments and other safety assessments.
- Supervise junior and provide guidance and feedback
- Keep check of chemical usage and prepare forecast, departmental P&L reports
- Prepare lab reports
- Maintain accurate documentation of production data, test results, and incident reports if any
- Ensure that company policies, procedures and work instructions are documents are obtained and proper maintained
- Assist in by providing management system related documents
- Identify relevant legislative requirements
- Control and maintain the company internal audits and risk assessment statement
- Conduct safety, quality, and environmental system compliance audits
- Closely monitor company equipment’s calibration expired and arranged re-calibrate schedules
- Liaise with Certification body for external audit requirements
- Participate and OIC in detailed incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis
- Enforce compliance of Regulatory requirements
- Involved CERT
- Ability to oversee Hazardous Waste Storage area and ensure regulatory agency compliance i.e., labelling, containment, proper disposal, documentation, etc
- Work with neighbours, government agencies (e.g.: National Environmental Agency) for any complaints
- Apply for licences, permits required with the relevant authorities
- Any others ad-hoc tasks assigned by supervisors.
Job Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- 1-3 years of experience in chemical or precious metal processing industry
- Skilled in operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining process and laboratory equipment
- Knowledge of ISO standards, EHS, and NEA regulations
- Able to lead and train a team effectively
- Proficient in MS Office and documentation preparation
