Job summary

ALS TECHNICHEM (SINGAPORE) PTE LTD is seeking a chemistry professional to prepare samples, perform routine analytical testing, develop new analytical methods, and validate methods in a fast-paced laboratory in Singapore.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in chemistry or a related field, experience in analytical testing, and strong documentation skills. Preference for hands-on LC-MS/MS experience; ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, analytical chemistry, or related field.
• Experience in analytical testing and laboratory quality systems is preferred.
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples, reagents, standards, and solutions for laboratory analysis.
• Perform routine analytical testing according to established in-house methods and procedures.
• Develop and implement new analytical methods based on client and business requirements.
• Conduct method validation and measurement uncertainty (MU) calculations.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instrumentation. Experience with LC-MS/MS is an advantage.
• Prepare, review, and maintain laboratory documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure all laboratory activities and reporting are carried out in compliance with Quality, Safety, Health, and Environmental (HSE) requirements.
• Support other laboratory and operational activities as assigned by management.

• Good analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Detail-oriented and capable of handling multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• Effective communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with LC-MS/MS, HPLC, GC-MS, ICP-MS, or other analytical instrumentation.
• Experience in method development, method validation, and uncertainty calculations.
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory requirements.
