Job summary

A multinational materials company in Singapore is looking for a specialist to develop resin formulations for copper clad laminate applications. You will be responsible for leading R&D projects, collaborating with teams in the US and Japan, and improving product quality and costs. Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in Polymer or Chemistry, with 3 to 5 years of formulation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop resin formulations for CCL applications.
• Research new methods and raw materials for new and existing products.
• Lead R&D projects through various stages to commercialization.
• Collaborate on R&D projects with counterparts in US and Japan.
• Source alternative raw materials and perform evaluations.

Job description

Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop resin formulations for CCL (copper clad laminate) applications
• Researching new methods and raw materials to develop new products and improve existing products in both quality and cost
• Lead R&D projects through various stage of development to the commercialization
• Collaborate with R&D counterpart in US and Japan on R&D projects
• Sourcing alternative raw materials for existing products. Carry out evaluation and qualification
• Calculating and analysing test results and preparing detailed reports with recommendations and conclusions
• Estimate the cost, resources and time required to conduct one or more research projects and monitor the performance of these projects to ensure targets are met
• Provide technical support to production, QA, technical service and other departments when required (such as troubleshooting and failure analysis, etc.)
• Support new product and process transfer from other BUs
• Perform any other reasonable duties as required by Management from time to time

Requirements

• At least a Bachelor's Degree in Polymer, Chemistry or related
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in formulation is preferred
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Mature, tactful, resourceful, positive attitude and self-motivated
