Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the extrusion process and related production activities in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring strict adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Set up, start, stop, and troubleshoot the extruder and associated equipment.
• Perform routine patrols of the plant to monitor process conditions and equipment performance.
• Collect and analyze samples to evaluate product quality and process parameters.
• Promptly report any abnormalities in the extrusion process, process deviations, equipment malfunctions, environmental issues, incidents, or near‑misses. Participate in investigations when required.
• Support daily maintenance coordination and assist in planned maintenance activities, including shutdowns and start‑ups.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on extrusion efficiency, equipment performance, and product quality.
• Assist in the training of new technicians.
• Serve as an active member of the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT).
• Perform scheduled housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Ensure proper handover and takeover during shift changes.
• Any other duties as and when required to be done by superior.
