A leading HR management firm in Singapore is seeking a Chemical Technician to perform maintenance tasks, ensure compliance with safety standards, and assist in chemical handling. The ideal candidate should possess a Nitec or Diploma in Chemical Engineering and have at least 1-2 years of relevant experience. This full-time role offers competitive compensation and requires willingness to work rotating shifts.
Responsibilities:
Perform basic maintenance tasks such as, changing small valves, replacing filters, connecting hoses, breaking flanges, and cleaning of equipment/area.
Highlight Maintenance request notifications need to Supervision.
Support shift operation on grade change transition as per Supervision instruction.
Receive and track all incoming goods and outgoing isotainer shipped materials.
Closely monitor material inventories by conducting stock count and plan with Day
Supervisor or Packaging Warehouse Supervisor to ensure material inventorie are sufficient for daily production.
Assist in verifying and investigating inventory variance when arises.
Liaise with the Day Supervisor and Packaging Warehouse Supervisor on the raw materials storage and receiving matters.
Comply with hazardous material handling process and storage procedures.
Commissioning and de-commissioning of process equipment.
Proper handing and blending of non-conforming and off specs products.
Assist in preparing plant equipment for maintenance and ensure all required Lockout, Tagout and Tryout has been performed.
Preparing chemicals, including mixing and dilution, for process operations.
Performing inter-tank transfers of chemicals and products based on established quality procedures.
Performing emergency response activities and drills.
Maintain acceptable housekeeping in assigned areas.
Requirements:
Nitec & Above
At least 1-2 years of relevan working experience, preferably in the chemical industry

Chemical Technician X 4 - 12 Hours Rotating Shift / Basic up to $2K+$1.2K (Appx) - Gross up to $3.2K before OT
Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance to statutory and corporate requirements related to safety and HSE issues.
Ensure that plant is at optimum operating conditions at all times.
Do periodic checking by plant patrol, in order to maintain high plant reliability so that production targets are achieved with minimum production downtime.
Handle sampling and in-process QC analysis.
Preparation of master batch sub-raw materials as per production requirements.
Assist Shift Superintendent in taking prompt and appropriate measures, where necessary, during plant emergencies
Perform simple maintenance on plant equipment, if necessary.
Provide support to other sections where necessary, e.g. Technical, Distribution, Sales, in daily plant operations or commissioning of new product grades.
Perform Emergency Response Team work during emergencies.
To take care of housekeeping of the plant.
Requirements:
Min GCE 'O' Level with 3 credits - English, Math & Science / NITEC or Diploma in Chemical Engineering/ Chemical Process Technology / Engineering related
Entry level - training will be provided
Must be able to work on 12-hours rotating shifts
Working hours: 8am to 8pm & 8pm to 8am
